Help with Inferno Belial please
I keep dying with him at 15-20%. At the end of phase 3 he fills the room with poison such that I can't find a safe place to stand. At first I thought it was just a lag problem (I've been playing on a crappy hotel wifi with 800 ms lag for the last month while TDY). But after about 20 attempts, dying at the exact same spot (and spending 100k on repairs) I feel like I'm missing something. I can solidly tank every part of the fight up to that without taking more than a 20% hit to my life bar. I have all of act 2 on farm except for this fight. (Yes, I'm stuck playing solo - multiplayer makes the lag even worse.)

I've been meaning to swap Cold Snap to Bone Chill and Galvanizing Ward to Cold Blooded for the dps, but I don't think that'll help with Belial because he's immune to freeze at that point. Would swapping out the Venom Hydra for Slow Time/Time Warp be a solo player dps increase?

Is this just an enrage timer that I'm missing? Maybe my poison resist is too low? If it's just a lag/L2P issue because I'm standing in the fire too much, that makes sense too - but I can't fix that at the moment :P

I haven't been playing a lot of inferno so I don't have any tips, but I can tell you that it is definatly the enrage timer you are hitting. So you'll want to try uping your DPS, not survival.

If you're stuck at 800 ping, then there is little that can be done. You're getting swarmed by poison because the delay is bad enough to negate your getting out of the mines. Also, there is no single safe place to stand. You need to keep running around and avoiding the traps. You should also fight him ar the center of the platform if you can so that you have more space to run to when the mine phase begins.

so mage, my friend and i grinded him for a good 45mins, dying a lot. and the same exact thing, but you know what.. its all luck and timing his phases and attacks. it helps to have someone else there for the battle rez imo, prefer someone with invuln. (monk?) out of all the times we did it, i think it was ~10 tries, we only had it one time where he didn't do the AE shit in a huge chain. and that was the only time we actually got him downed. and honestly, i think belial is the hardest boss fight in the game on inferno, he makes everything esle seem.... simple.

it has never taken me more than twice
to down belial, even in hell mode. However in insanity i can't even kill the elites in the "damp cellar"

yea, belial in inferno is a whole different story. and if you can't clear act 1, tristam road, you gotta get resists, armor and all that nonsense
At Inferno the difficulty
At Inferno the difficulty ramp gets a lot steeper. You may need to farm act 4 hell for better gear.
