In case someone misses the statusy thingy, apparently Hi-Rez remembered my account from Global Agenda and decided to give me a closed beta key for Tribes: Ascend. I haven't touched the series since Earthsiege II, way back in the day, and I'm not very interested in the developments after that game, so I have no intention of playing the beta. That said, if someone wants the key, post here and I'll PM it.
So I want to get my priest from 5-85... quickly. Just wondering if it's going to be quicker to quest, do random 5 mans, or random BG's. Considering I can que as healer or dps I would think the wait times wouldn't be bad... and I hate the idea of questing through outlands and nothrend again... but I equally hate the idea of pug hell or fail bgs.
Also, my last hack cost me my hierloom set. Do you think the 20% xp gain would outwieght the time investment of 4000ish pt grind to get em back?
I doubt I will be leveling any more alts soon, so the decision really boils down to just this toon.
Now that school is over and my computer is functional, I do plan to be at raids as usual to catherd and use the mom voice, etc. I had something come up for Tuesday night though, and won't be able to make it for raid (my son's Xmas event that I thought was tonight is actually tomorrow night so, meh.)
So I can't be there tomorrow (sorry!) but will definitely be there Wednesday and Thursday. I need to get caught up to speed on how far everyone has progressed in the last two weeks, and I'll probably leave the explanations to someone else and just act as the catherder/whipcracker/lootmaster, but I promise that (barring unforseen circumstances) I'll be there the rest of the week and the weeks after.
For those of you who invited, re-invited, and re-re-invited Dvi as I tried to settle on a fitting look and race for my shadow priest. /thanks
I'm pretty sure this the final version... well fairly sure.
At any rate, with the new rig, I think I'm ready to dig my heels in and FINALLY level a shadow priest (I've been talking about doing it for 5 years or so).
I'd assume I'll be on a lot from now through the holiday. I'm not going to sign up for anything on the calendar, but if you're down a dps for raid/5man/whatever, just give me a holler and I'll bust the Bhut out for ya.
I can probably use the excuse I am an Eagles fan, retired Infantry or a democrat but when I created an account, I used a name NOT associated with a Guild character character name. Is there a possibility that the person or person in charge of the Guild website could delete my account so I can re-register with my character's name? The name bogey2230 isnt associated with any WoW character but is the name of a great SPCA dog I had years ago that died and is now my email. Usually when I register with a website, I use ' bogey2230' so that my wonderful pound puppy will live forever ( it is also my email address...God, how I loved that dog)
BUT, for identification, I would rather use the name associated with the WoW character I have within the Guild.
It looks like North Korea's Dear Leader has passed on: http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/18/world/asia/kim-jong-il-obit/index.html
Will Tal be honing in now that there's a vacancy?

Okay, it's probably time we got an Empire guild started up on Sith Wyrm, our home server for swtor. If you are leveling an Empire toon and have 1000 credits to spare, let's try and find a time we can meet up and get the guild established.
We need four people, 5000 credits, and a name.
I've been leveling a Sith warrior, Unagi. Post here, send me an ingame email/tell, whatever.
Now the fun part: the name. Do we want something that mirrors Natural Order, like Unnatural Chaos? Or do we want something completely different, like Ewok Boxing Team?
I spent a long time looking at the talent tree and started to notice some odd things. Mainly, the defense tree and the vigilance tree seem to both have great tanking abilities. Added to that, the high end talents for defense don't seem to help much with tanking at all. Looking at the vigilance tree had me realize that there are ton of good abilites there that can synergize well with defense. So I came up with this build. I call it the Guardian Monkey Hopping build as it relies a lot on jumping back and forth using Guardian Jump on a healer or dps then Force Leap back to the boss.
SWTOR has taught me that my Computer is in need of upgrading. lol. Unlike when doing beta my current framerates are horrible.Making the game essentially unplayable.
So I'm coming to you all for some advice / direction on what I should be lookin to upgrade to, to be above minimum reqs for swtor but not lookin for top of the line cuz like most folks $$ not flowing like water. Would vid card be main priority for improving swtor gameplay? I have a 3 IQ when it comes to the workings of computer guts. My current system is approx 2 yrs old so I knew it was due for a fixer upper but now it must happen.
